Researching into existing news packages - Lucy

I've made a Thinglink for the research of existing news packages and how mainstream vs niche news has different branding. BBC News is mainstream and BBC Kids is niche even though it's from the same business. As I've never heard of BBC Kids, I presume they have a good way of advertising for their target audience, in this case, kids and younger viewers. Also, BBC kids was founded in 2001, (when I was one year old) so I didn't know about BBC kids news and have never heard of it until I only just researched it.

I have seen how different news packages brand, advertise and present their news in different ways and I will bring these ideas back to our news package to make our news package as appropriate as we can to our target audience, in our case students.

Everything that I've answered is on my Thinglink post.
